The following sub-clause (viii) shall be added after sub-clause (vii) of clause 14 of Appendix 'A' to the Statutes for the grant of Retirement Benefit to the employees of the Universities of Bihar as enforced w.e.f. 14.11.80 vide letter no. BSU-52/80-5285 GS (I) dated 18.11.1980.

(viii) The benefit in service of three years shall provided to the Lecturer who have acquired Ph.D degree before the date of entry into service, fro the purpose of counting for pension/gratuity and completing 33 years of service at the time of superannuation as per the pension rules".
