26. Research
(1) Subject to the provisions of this Act and the Statutes, the University shall carry on strategic, basic and applied research in agriculture and allied discipline. (2) The University through its research organization shall be the principal agency of control over research activities in Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and other allied branches in its jurisdiction. (3) The University with the concurrence of Government may establish Regional/Zonal Research Stations and Sub-Station in different agro-climatic zones in its territorial jurisdiction for the conduct of research including operational research.
