12. The power and duties of the Senate
Subject to the provisions of this Act, the Senate shall have the following powers and functions:- (i) To review the broad policies and programmes of the University and suggest measures for the improvement and development of the University; (ii) To consider and pass resolution on the annual report, annual account, financial estimates and audit reports on such accounts of the University; and (iii) To advice the Chancellor in respect of any matter which may be referred to it for advice.
