Amendment in different statutes which are essential dueto amendment in Bihar State Universities Act 1976 by which the words "Bihar State University (Constituent Colleges) Service Commission" and "Bihar Inter University Board” used in the Bihar Act 23. 1976 and in the Statutes/Ordinances/Regulations or otherwise reference made thereunder, were deleted but no competent bodies were substituted in place of the words “Bihar State University (Constituent Colleges) Service Commission” and “Bihar lnter University Board". This is the creating problem in the promotion of Demonstrator to Lecturer, Lecturer to Reader & Reader to Professor. So the following amendment in the Statutes are proposed:-

(A)     In:-

(1)         Statute for promotion of Demonstrator to the post of Lecturer approved by letter no. 5250/GS(1) dated 18/11/1980 together with amendment vide letter nos. BSU-50/80-2442/GS(1), dated 15/9/1981, BSU-3984/GS(1) dated 22/12/1986 and BSU-10/04-124/GS(1) dated 16/2/2006.

(2)         Statute for promotion of Lecturer to the post of Reader approved by letter No. 5250 dated 18/11/1980 together with amendment vide letter NO. bsu-10/04-124/GS(1) dated 16/11/1986.

(3)         Statute for promotion of Lecturer to the post of Reader approved by letter no. BSU-41/81-2779/GS(1) dated 14/11/1981 alongwith amendment vide letter no. BSU-26/86-3813/GS(1) date 28/11/1986.

(4)               Statutes regarding merit promotion of Lecturer as Reader and Statute regarding merit promotion of Reader as Professor applicable to those existing teachers opting for merit promotion in response to the Human Resource Development Deptt. letter no. 1044 dated 7/8/1989 as approved by letter no. BSU-20/95-2133/GS(1), dated 23/9/1995.

(5)               Statute regarding merit promotion of Readers as Professors applicable to those existing teachers opting for merit promotion in response to the Human Resource Development Deptt. letter no. 1044 dated 7/8/1989 as approved by the Chancellor on 22/2/84 vide memo no. 359 and amended vide letter no. 164/GS(1) dated 27/12/84 and BSU- 09/85-3742/GS(1) dated 24/11/1986.

(6)  Statute for placement of Lecturer to the post of Lecturer, in senior scale and Statute for promotion of Lecturer in senior scale to the post of Reader and for placing of Lecturer in senior scale to the post of Lecturer in selection grade under Career Advancement Scheme as approved by letter no. BSU-20/95-2132/GS(1) dated 23/9/1995.

(7)   Statute for promotion of Lecturer in senior pay scale (Rs. 3000-5000) to the post of Reader (Rs 3700-5700) and placement of Lecturer in the senior scale of pay to the post of Lecturer in the Selection Grade (Rs 3700-5700) which came into force in supersession of the Statute approved by the Chancellor on 24/12/1986 (BSU-27/85-4032/GS(1) and amended on 20/11/1987 (BSU-27/85-4099/GS(1) and 28/11/1987 (BSU-27/85-4213/GS(1).

(8)  Statute for time bound promotion of Lecturer to the post of Reader and promotion of Reader of the affiliated colleges including religious and linguistic minority managed colleges as approved vide letter no. BSU-20/92-2280/GS(1) dated 14/9/92.
